Parkade Leak Repairs & High Rise Repairs
Until 1988, parkades and high rise buildings were frequently not adequately protected against water and salt penetration, resulting in corrosion of reinforcing steel and deterioration of concrete. New parkade structures are now required to have a protective waterproofing coating on suspended concrete decks and plazas.
In older structures, and some newer structures, Polycrete provides the following services:
- Repair of deteriorated concrete, including replacement of excessively corroded reinforcing steel
- Repair of cracks or voids (honeycombing) in concrete using epoxy pressure injection procedures to ensure permanent structural repairs
- Installation of traffic deck waterproofing coating systems on existing or new parkades or balconies, including surface preparation by shotblasting or surface grinding and the use of proven materials to ensure a durable and architecturally pleasing result
- Restoration of plaza decks or parkade rooftop garden decks, including concrete repairs, waterproofing and installation of new landscaping materials.
- Installation or repair of expansion joint systems, including fire-rated systems.
